Oculus’ Latest SDK And The Features Of Its Touch Controllers

Oculus Rifts’ latest Software Development kit (SDK) is here and is known to add support and documentation for a latest feature which is a brand new ‘Enter button’ to be seen on the left controller for the Oculus which brings us to further notify that Oculus Rift touch controllers are on their way.

The touch controllers are set to release in the 4th quarter of this year and will bring along a wild and awesome collection of compatible new games to be played with the Oculus Rift headset and the controllers.

The latest PC SDK seems to point towards the finalization of the design of Oculus’s optically Tracked devices along with an enter button which is said to function similar to the Xbox One wireless controller’s start button.

The second and the more advanced feature of the SDK and is the additional haptic feedback method which is known as the ‘Buffered Haptics which has been included into the documentation and system to support a certain new style of haptic feedback. The Buffered Haptic method works to change rapidly that is every 3.12 seconds and reflects the subtle effects bringing the most delicate effects to life whereas the Non-Buffered Haptics work to deliver the simplest effects which are not subjected to changes that often.

Oculus CEO Brendon Iribe broke out the news of the SDK launch in avery recent tweet in which he also confirmed that the number of Oculus SDKs that will reach the Oculus Developers’ hand is expected to rake up to 5000 by the very time Oculus Touch will release that is before the end of this year.
