While the world was still figuring out its way around the highly expensive virtual Reality headsets, a high tech system that helps to develop VR content has come out on a whopping price tag of $4,363. HP’s new Z desktop can be used for making VR movies, resourceful applications and other related engineering tasks. The desktop system can also be employed to create VR content for HTC Vive headset.
Astonishingly, HP’s Z workstation has also been used in popular movies such as Deadpool which requires specific high-end tools to construct the graphics with high processing speed and power.
HP’s Z workstation can be easily configured with Intel Xeon E5-2600 v4 chips which offer up to 22 high power cores. However, there’s another 22-core Xeon E5-2699 v4 chip which is typically reserved for servers and draws about 145 watts of power which implies that the computer will heat up immensely and shall, therefore, need a powerful cooling system.
The systems can also be configured with the powerful dual Quadro M6000 which is a high tech 24 GB graphic card with a scalable link interface (SLI). The dual CPUs can be further combined with a Z840 system but with a 22 core system, it will certainly cause the system to heat up furiously.
The desktop system is also enriched with the Nvidia technology that lets the graphics to flow seamlessly for a nausea free experience enhanced by a 256 GB DDR4 memory or 1TB of LRDDR4. It boasts of gigabit Ethernet with five USB 3.0 and three USB 2.0 ports.
The system will undoubtedly cut you short of $4k but after all these amazing specs, the device is surely worth for the pioneering minds. Note: Monitor, Keyboard, and Mouse need to be purchased separately.
