Radhika Apte will soon be seen in a first of its kind psychological thriller film named ‘Phobia‘ which has been incorporated in Virtual Reality for an extra dose of chill and terror. Before this, Virtual reality has never been used for any thriller flick in Bollywood which makes this concept even more exciting and intriguing.
The upcoming short film is made on a story that revolves around a Girl named Mehak whose character is played by Radhika Apte. Mehak is an artist by profession who suffers from an acute anxiety disorder named agoraphobia which forces the person suffering from it to perceive the environment around as unsafe and dangerous making even the basic of experiences with the outside world seem like highly uncomfortable and uneasy situations. The movie has been specifically designed and directed to employ Virtual reality to let the audiences experience an exactly similar mindset to that of the character in the movie. The movie in VR quite accurately lets you take the character’s place in the setting making it seem more real than ever which makes such an experience highly terrifying and downright bloodcurdling for the weaker hearts.
Radhika Apte is known for being the most unconventionally smart actor who has proven her mettle time and again and she will surely bring the character of Mehak alive along with her anxieties, fears and the hardships she’s been through all this time suffering from the disorder. Producer Viki Rajani says that he is super excited about the video as it is the first ever film of such kind as virtual reality till now has been unexplored in Bollywood. The movie is shot in 360-degree format with a Camera rig taking the audience through the house and daily life of Mehak.
