If you have logged on to Facebook recently and have not been living in a well then you probably would’ve seen people posting pictures with caricature effects on social media platforms. Well, it’s a feature granted by a recent app called Prism that lets you transform your original picture with the effects of a sketch. The application has become extremely popular within just a few days.
Now the app that turned photos instantly into an art form is ready to take it down further by applying the same effects for videos as well as for content shot for VR compatible platforms. The application is believed to make use of specialized advanced technologies such as neural networks and artificial intelligence to transform the images and clips shot from the real world scenarios into exquisite art forms which are seemingly close to the approximations of an artist working as impressionist or in the genres of an abstract.
The application, Prisma has been developed by Russian Developers which were contacted to confirm the move. The developers at the Prisma Labs also created a short demonstration to check the results if they were just as fascinating as they were imagined to be. The short video demo depicts no difference at all in the visual effects of the photo app working for VR content and for videos and renders subtle effects to the video version of app.
Currently, the Company has developed and is ready to bring forth its Video version while it is still working on its VR version which will reportedly transform 360 degree videos with similar effects. The Prisma version of immersive VR videos sounds not just brilliant but will also be superbly fascinating to surround yourself in an immersive video filtered with the Prisma effect. We wonder how the games such as The Climb or The Assembly would be to experience with the effects rendered by Prisma.
