Election season has finally arrived again in America and this year Virtual Reality has also made a debut with a bang. We guess what better way can be there to experience the upcoming presidential debates than witnessing their real debate in an illusionistic way. It is such an ironic thing to say this! NBC along with AltspaceVR, a virtual reality software Company told that they will now stream the presidential debates between Republican candidate Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton live in 360 formats.
Viewers who already have their own Virtual Reality headsets like Oculus Rift, the HTC VIVE or the Samsung Gear VR and an application named AltspaceVR is installed will be able to stream live to the debates in 360 degree view and as a bonus, they will get some extras too. NBC told the sources that they have recreated New York City’s iconic Rockefeller Centre in VR and renamed it as Democracy Plaza which means, ‘an interactive celebration of American citizenship and their political history’.
NBC’s Virtual Reality bonanza will continue throughout the election cycle in America, and will culminate on the election night i.e. on Nov. 8. NBC said that the people who doesn’t have any headsets, they can still watch the virtual Reality presentation on their Personal Computer and Mac computers, but that is they would be streaming in 2 dimensional video format only
