After holding a successful debut event this year in Hamburg, Germany, VRHAM!, a festival dedicated to virtual reality (VR), and the arts has announced that it will return to the city in 2019 again.
Due to the multi-faceted program, the festival is designed to be accessible for the visitors of all ages. It aims to recreate the success of this year’s event by covering the whole gamut of VR art with national and international artists on all genres presenting immersive experiences and formats from the fields of music, dance, and theatre.
VRHAM! has decided to announce its open call for artists to present their ideas in January 2019. There will be a wide range of discourse programs which will be developed and carried out jointly with various partner institutions in Hamburg. This year’s event included topics such as storytelling, literature, art, education, teaching, and a lot more.
VRHAM! will return in 2019 with VRHAMMY! Awards with an international jury awarding the participants. However, the main focus will be the promotion of the upcoming Hamburg-based creatives. The award ceremony will be held on the opening day.
