Though Ford Motor Company is one of the matured automobile manufacturers present in the world, but when it comes to the latest technology, it is not considered backwards. To prove this, the Detroit auto major has recently announced its branch extending into self-driving cars in a hope that it will be revolutionary in the field of taxi market and now the company is increasing their horizons by launching a virtual reality app for the smart phones that will now showcase their new Ford GT and its grand performance at Le Mans. The app is all set and available for download for all Android devices, Google cardboard and iphones. Ford is also planning to try their hands on Samsung Gear VR in the coming future.
If we talk about the content of the application, they are mostly in a form of 360-degree videos that the user can enjoy with their Virtual Reality headsets. But, sadly Ford has only one video of the app as for now, but it is planning ways to bring more videos in the near future. The video just takes the viewers behind the scene and even behind the wheels. It talks about A DAY that is spent well with new FORD GT.
Cadillac started this trend of bringing Virtual Reality in the automobile world and now, many companies are following this trend.
