SEA VR is the largest Virtual Reality conference in the Pacific Northwest. It has recently renamed as “Immerse Technology Summit”. The summit will be held this year on October 11th at Bellevue, Washington. The summit organizers said that the main reason for dropping the “VR” moniker so as to widen the scope of the conference because they want to include Augmented and mixed reality along with Virtual Reality.
AMD’s vice president ‘Roy Taylor’ of VR, alliances, and content, will deliver one of the three planned essential talks in the beginning of the day-long convention. Though the gaming industry is very well represented, but the summit will also feature essential parts from representatives of Virtual Reality working in the field of medicine and also in the automotive industry. There will also be smaller breakouts sessions along with the essential talks with the 40 companies that will be demoing their work.
The conference has already attracted the attention of many venture capital firms who will again going to participate in this conference. The conference will witness many VR start ups presenting their ideas to the panel of Seattle area investors in a hope to earn a meeting with the big venture capitalists named as Madrona Venture Group, Qualcomm Ventures and Vulcan Capital. Applications for the competition are open just till September 28th for any immersive technology company who is below five years old in its age. The immerse technology as it is renamed is hosted duly by Envelop VR and this will its third time.
