Modal VR’s virtual reality system for commercial applications which includes a wearable headset and a full-body motion tracking suit along with a computer peripheral which they named it as the VR Fabricator. We should look for gear in the business world and definitely not in the consumer world.
Modal VR which is a startup company that has recently came out of their tealth today is now building VR hardware which is exclusively for the Business applications. It is expected to hit the sweet spot for the technology in the year 2017. Cofounder Nolan Bushnell and the founder of Atari and Chuck E. Cheese thinks that their past successes have always been at the right time and at the right place. The company has also announced that they will be shipping VR systems which are multi-user and wireless to the developers soon, but didn’t disclosed a date!
The company says that the portable system will consists of a computer peripheral which they named it as the VR Fabricator along with a virtual reality visor and a full-body motion tracking suit and also a software. Users have to bring their own Mac or Personal Computer. Each Fabricator will be able to support up to ten users wearing the visors and the tracking suits. You all would be happy to know that this is Bushnell’s effort as the featured app in the launch of video is in a form of a gaming app which happens to be a virtual battle being played out in the real world and that too in a soccer field.
